To ensure a consistent Twitter display experience for users across various media properties, the following guidelines must be followed if utilising the Crowd Convergence Social Display API for In-venue, Online or Out Of Home (OOH) use. These guidelines relate to Twitter content only and Crowd Convergence will work closely with you to design a suitable and unique brand experience. Failure to adhere to the guidelines may result in suspension of data supply until rectified:

Do

  • Display real, unmodified Tweets from real accounts.
  • Follow Twitter’s Terms of Service, the Twitter Brand Assets and Guidelines, and (if applicable) the Developer Agreement and Developer Policy.
  • Display the Twitter logo.

Don't

  • Use Twitter content to promote any product or service (e.g. by displaying Twitter content in advertising or otherwise displaying Twitter content to imply endorsement of any product or service) without explicit permission from the user.
  • Delete, obscure, or alter the Tweet content or identification of the user (with the exception of removing hyperlinks).

In-venue specific

  • Display the unaltered Tweet text (except for the removal of URLs/links if not contextually relevant)
  • Display the full username, screen name, avatar and timestamp where possible.
  • The user avatar and timestamp may be excluded if not contextually relevant or difficult to see (e.g. an in-stadia big screen with low resolution)

Online specific

  • All Tweet Action icons (including reply, Retweet, and like) must always be visible for the user to interact with the Tweet. These actions must be implemented using Web Intents or with the authenticated Twitter API. (To support the implementation of Tweet Actions, we provide several image resources for developers to leverage.)

Out Of Home specific

  • Display the unaltered Tweet text (except for the removal of URLs/links if not contextually relevant)
  • Display the full username, screen name, avatar and timestamp where possible.
